Who, what, for whom?

Who?

We are a group of first year students in business management at the School of Management and Engineering of the Canton of Vaud (HEIG-VD). As a requirement for Prof. Dr. Roya Bafandi's marketing class, we are developing an actual, self-financed project, called "divercity", mediatised under the patronage of the non-profit association Common Humanity.

What?

The event, "divercity", will take place May 20, 2010 at the EPFL's Polydôme starting at 6:30pm.

Our event's primary goals are:

- to promote intercultural diversity within the teams

- to support the UNICEF's worldwide children's education project, in particular girls', by means of fund-raising.

The project's entire proceeds will be donated to UNICEF through the Common Humanity association in order to support the project "The United Nations Girls' Education Initiative" (UNGEI). UNICEF, UNGEI's lead agency, is supported by the totality of the United Nations' system organisations, in particular UNESCO.

For whom?

"divercity" is predominantly geared towards Western Switzerland's students, but is also open to the general public.
